Lawrence Park South

The quiet residential neighbourhood of Lawrence Park South takes up an odd-shaped portion of the city just north of the midtown area.
It is bounded roughly by Lawrence Avenue West and Coldstream Avenue to the north, Eglinton Avenue West, Briar Hill Avenue and Blythwood Road to the south, Proudfoot Avenue, Latimer Avenue and Castlewood Road to the west and Avenue Road, Yonge Street and an area midway between Mount Pleasant Road and Bayview Avenue to the east.
The tranquil area features a number of green spaces, including Lytton Park, Chatsworth Ravine, Lawrence Park, Alexander Muir Memorial Gardens and Blythwood Ravine Park.
Schools in the area include Blythwood Junior Public School, Allenby Junior Public School, John Ross Robertson Junior Public School, Glenview Senior Public School, Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute and the private Havergal College.
The neighbourhood is light on retail compared to most others, with even Yonge Street offering fewer retail options than further north or south.
Lawrence station on the Yonge subway line is located just north of the neighbourhood, with other transit options including buses along Yonge, Avenue, Mount Pleasant, Lawrence and Eglinton. The Eglinton bus will eventually be replaced by the Crosstown LRT.
